The First Plant Sector Meetings: a collective momentum launched at Biopôle Clermont-Limagne.
Thursday, March 12, Biopôle Clermont-Limagne hosted the first edition of the Plant and Active Ingredients Meetings, a new event dedicated to stakeholders in the Auvergne sector. More than 50 participants — producers, harvesters, researchers, and company executives — gathered to share their experiences, combine their expertise, and jointly envision future collaborations.
At the heart of the discussions was the development of plant-based applications in the health, cosmetics, and nutrition sectors. Through dynamic discussion sessions, participants were able to highlight the strengths and expectations specific to their professions, fostering a better understanding of each other’s challenges.
The event was also marked by strong networking momentum. Informal moments and the 70 B2B meetings organized provided numerous opportunities to connect and generate real business prospects. In total, 38 Auvergne-based companies and organizations were represented, reflecting the richness and diversity of the local ecosystem.
Organized at the initiative of SMO Biopôle Clermont-Limagne, with the support of Vegepolys Valley, Naturopôle Nutrition Santé, SIGMA INP, and VetAgro Sup, this first edition of the Plant Meetings sparked strong interest. Participants praised the quality and depth of the exchanges, highlighting a clear need for structuring the sector.
This collective enthusiasm is already encouraging organizers to continue the momentum. New meetings are expected to take place to strengthen synergies across the Auvergne region, particularly around the PPAM sector (Perfume, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants) and plant-based ingredients.
A promising first edition that lays the foundations for a collaborative ecosystem dedicated to plant innovation.
