Led by the Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9conomie, des Finances et de la Relance, this program supports strategic investments in critical sectors, including health, chemistry and agri-food.<\/p>\n<p>One of them is StrainChem, a pharmaceutical company run by Dr.Audrey Serre and Dr.Jean-Jacques Youte, and based on the Biop\u00f4le Clermont-Limagne since 2017. It specializes in the synthesis of molecules with high therapeutic potential, biopolymers (e.g., peptide, oligosaccharide, and oligonucleotide) and has developed and patented innovative, efficient, cost-effective and ecological processes to produce these molecules.<\/p>\n<p>The Strainchem project, called SLiPONS (Sustainable LIquid Phase OligoNucleotide Synthesis), aims to set up a production unit for oligonucleotides, molecules used for innovative therapies such as gene therapy. France Relance\u2019s support will accelerate its semi-industrial deployment to meet the needs of pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and universities.
